Gabriel’s Oboe

Ennio Morricone

Level: Beginners (very easy)

One of my favorite pieces to play myself is undoubtedly "Gabriel's Oboe." It was composed by Ennio Morricone for the 1986 film "The Mission," directed by Roland Joffé. The music is so beautiful and soothing. Dream away in your own piano playing!

Tips for Playing

✔ Practice step by step: Repeat the Slow section as many times as needed until you feel comfortable, then move on to the next chapter.

✔ Hands separately first: Start by practicing the right hand (melody), then the left hand, and finally both together.

✔ Play with a partner: One person can play the melody while the other plays the accompaniment—great for learning together!

✔ Practice daily: Even just 15 minutes a day will help you improve steadily.

✔ Take your time: enjoy the process, and have fun playing!
