In this piano tutorial, you'll learn to play "Danse Macabre" in the version we still remember from the Haunted Mansion (Spookslot) at Efteling. I never missed the Haunted Mansion when I visited Efteling themepark in the Netherlands. It was one of my favorite attractions. That probably has something to do with nostalgia. This haunted house was in Efteling from 1978 to 2022. The music was added late in the construction project and was a shortened version of the famous work "Danse Macabre" by French composer Camille Saint-Saëns. And now you can play this "Spookslot" version of Danse Macabre yourself on the piano.

Tips for playing piano

✔ Hands separately first: Start by practicing the right hand (melody), then the left hand, and finally both together.
